Skinner’s, the award-winning Truro brewery, has announced a brand new ‘Ale Blazer’ – a special, limited brew celebrating innovative brewing and seasonal flavours.

Skinner’s chocolate milk stout is a rich and velvety brew, with smooth notes of chocolate and vanilla.

It is an innovative take on a tried and tested recipe, offering contrasting sensations for the taste buds.

The stout holds fresh fruity flavours of the New Zealand Hops: Rakau, Wakatu and Pacifica, whilst providing the warmth and comfort of milk chocolate.

Milk Stout is an English heritage brew, traditionally drunk in the late 1800s by workers seeking a lunchtime energy hit. Milk Stouts also found fame as a ‘tonic’ for those in poor health and they were even prescribed for nursing mothers as recently as the 1950s!

The addition of chocolate and speciality hops makes this Ale Blazer the ideal choice for anyone who enjoys a darker brew with a hint of sweetness.

It will be available for a very limited time from Tuesday, October 23 in keg and cask in selected outlets across Cornwall. It will also be available more widely in 330ml bottles.

Skinner’s founder, Steve Skinner, said: “I hope everybody enjoys our latest creation.

"Our 2018 series of limited edition brews have been very successful and eagerly awaited – they’ve all sold through very quickly, which is great. We’ve loved experimenting this year and we can’t wait to start on our 2019 range.”

Skinner’s core range is perennially popular, but these seasonal brews are a great way for the team of brewers and fans alike to explore seasonal flavours and push the boundaries in brewing.

There are two more limited edition brews due to be released this year – both with a festive feel.
