Adam Michael Doney, aged 38, of Treverbyn Road, admitted exceeding the 70mph limit on April 16 near Launceston.

STEALING four pairs of spectacle frames resulted in an appearance before Truro magistrates for a Penzance man.

Gavin Rose, aged 41, of Roscadghill Parc, Heamoor, stole the frames worth £428 from Specsavers in Penzance on December 1.

Rose, who admitted the offence, received an 18-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £428 compensation. He also has to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
