The rail line towards Truro has now reopened but train cancellations and long delays remain.
It is after the main line between Cornwall and London Paddington was blocked this morning due to a broken down train between Penzance and Truro.
Delays of up to an hour were being reported on both the Great Western Railway and around 30 minutes on Cross Country services.
Trains from Penzance were cancelled and tickets were being accepted on local bus routes.
Great Western has now confirmed that the line towards Truro has now reopened, but added: "Train services running to and from these stations are returning to normal but some services will still be cancelled, delayed by up to 95 minutes or running non stop from Penzance.
"All stations between Penzance and Plymouth will not be served."
⚠️ Following a broken down train between #Penzance and #Truro all lines have now re-opened. Residual delays are expected while the service recovers.
