Motorists could have been forgiven for having beef over their delayed journeys at the weekend after cows blocked the road of the A30.
The startled cattle, which looked to be Holstein-Friesians, were being transported by road when it is understood the trailer opened up as it went around a roundabout close to Tesco at Eastern Green, Penzance on Saturday afternoon.
The cows proceeded to milk the situation, by clambering onto the roundabout itself and filling the carriageway.
This photograph was taken by Issy Empson of Logan Rock Cars, when the car she was a passenger in passed the roundabout just after the cows escaped.
Fulfilling Tesco's slogan that 'every little helps,' after police arrived the cattle were herded into the nearby supermarket car park, to clear the road for vehicles.
