The A30 between Fingle Glen and Ide near Exeter is expected to be closed for the rest of the day after a lorry caught fire last night and damaged the road.

Anyone travelling from Cornwall is advised to take the A38 instead where possible and to allow plenty of extra journey time.

Temporary traffic lights on the A393 between Speech Lane in Ponsanooth and the A39 Treluswell Roundabout have been put in place because of gas main works and will be removed on November 12.

Traffic on Dracaena Avenue is also being controlled by traffic lights because of electricity work.

These will be removed on December 10.

Today, the Falmouth to St Mawes Ferry has also been cancelled because of adverse sea conditions.
