Flooding and general surface water is causing problems on the roads across Cornwall this morning, with drivers advised to keep their speed low and be aware.

On the A30 at Camborne there is heavy surface water at Carwin Rise, between the A3047 Camborne West junction and the A30 at the Loggans Moor Roundabout.

Traffic is said to be coping well but motorists should approach with care.

On the other main route out of Cornwall, the A38, the road is blocked due to flooding near the Middle Drift turn-off, close to the Bodmin Parkway train station.

The traffic watch system is reporting: “The road has been engulfed with two feet of standing water.”

And again on the A30, this time at Indian Queens, one lane has been closed due to an accident on the eastbound carriageway, between the A39 at Indian Queens and the A391 Innis Downs junction.

Traffic is reported to be coping well.
