A PENRYN man was given a conditional discharge by Truro Magistrates after pleading guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour.

Joshua Liam Bennetto, 23, of Harris Court, was discharged conditionally for nine months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and court costs of £85.

A PRAA Sands man was ordered to pay compensation for taking a motorbike without permission and riding it without valid insurance.

Daniel Frederick Avery, 29, of Pengersick Estate, pleaded guilty to the two charges and was ordered to pay compensation of £220 and a victim surcharge of £20.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and his driving record was endorsed with six penalty points.

A GOONHAVERN woman was fined for drink driving.

Catherine Mary Berry, 21, of Carriage Parc, committed the offence in St Newlyn East on August 20.

She was found to have 94 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of her blood, when the legal limit is 80.

She pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £80, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

A ST AUSTELL man was ordered to pay £50 for stealing a £7.25 bottle of wine from Tesco in Penzance.

Darren John Hughes, 49, of North Street, stole the sherry from the Branwell Lane shop on September 1.

He pleaded guilty and was given a conditional discharge of three years as well as an order to pay £30 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

He will have to pay it back at the rate of £5 per week.

A POOL man made off from a petrol station in Redruth without paying for £57.18 worth of fuel.

Shane Osborne, 33, of Trevenson Road, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place on August 7.

He was ordered to pay compensation equal to the amount of fuel taken as well as a victim surcharge of £20.

It was noted that he has outstanding debts to pay in the East Hertfordshire area.

A GLOWETH woman was given a suspended sentence for stealing £250 in numerous incidents over a period of time.

Sophy Ann Retallick, 30, of Chyvelah Ope, breached the trust of her victim and their family, and indicated a guilty plea.

She was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and a community order with a rehabilitation requirement and 80 hours of unpaid work.

She was also ordered to pay compensation of £250, a victim surcharge of £110 and court costs of £85.

A CAMBORNE man was given a community order for damaging the passenger door of a car.

Ashley Phillip Vinnicombe, 27, of Enys Road, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place on June 21.

He was ordered to complete a thinking skills programme and carry out 40 hours of unpaid work.

He was also ordered to pay compensation of £750 at the rate of £50 per month.

A NEWLYN man was fined for drink driving.

Lee James Fallaize, 30, of Chywoone Crescent, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place on October 26 in Penzance.

Fallaize was found with 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of his breath, when the legal limit is 35.

He was fined £290 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 as well as court costs of £85.

He was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 40 months.

A ST AUSTELL man was given a three year conditional discharge for stealing £93.50 worth of meat from a Penzance co-op.

Darren John Hughes, 49, of the Queens Head Hotel, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place on May 13.

A POLPERRO man was fined for driving without a valid licence or insurance in Redruth.

Stephen Lanfear, 26, of Langreek Road, pleaded guilty to two charges which took place on October 28.

He was fined £200, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and court costs of £85.

His driving record was also endorsed with six penalty points.
