FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large gorse blaze on The Lizard on Sunday evening.
Crews from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne were sent to the scene at Ruan Minor at around 8.10pm.
A spokesman for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said at 9.30pm: “Firefighters are currently dealing with approx. 2 X 100m fronts of high gorse on fire.
“Beaters and two Hose Reels are in use to extinguish the fire.
“Good progress is being made.”
