By popular demand Kylie Minogue is to play a second Eden Session at the home of the famous Biomes in Cornwall.

Fans were left frustrated yesterday evening after the Eden Sessions website wobbled under the strain of ticket requests.

Shortly after the £60 tickets were gone, they began to appear on re-sale sites for more than £350.

But the Eden Project has announced this morning that the international pop star will now play on Wednesday July 3 in addition to her show on Tuesday, July 2.

Rita Broe, Eden's Marketing Director, said: “We are thrilled to have a second date for Kylie. She has a huge number of fans and now we have a second concert, twice as many will be able to enjoy seeing her at Eden.”

Kylie’s recent shows as part of her ‘Golden’ UK arena tour have been met with widespread critical acclaim.

Metro remarked ‘Quite frankly, she was breath-taking’ and that her show “proves why Kylie remains pop’s Golden girl” in their 5-star review of the opening night of the tour, with the Evening Standard praising it as “a welcome reminder of Minogue’s generosity as a performer”.

Next summer’s shows will see Kylie performing a series of career-spanning hits from her unparalleled back catalogue.

Her latest album ‘Golden’ was released earlier this year via BMG Records. It debuted at Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart and is her sixth Number 1 album to date.

It spawned the singles ‘Stop Me From Falling’ and ‘Dancing’, the official video for which has over 11 million views and counting. It has spent twenty weeks on the UK album charts and is the best-selling 2018 release by an international female artist.

The Eden Sessions enter their 18th year in 2019. Last year’s line-up featured Gary Barlow, Massive Attack, A Beautiful Day Out, Ben Howard, Queens of the Stone Age, Jack Johnson and Björk. Star acts from previous years include Muse, Oasis, Lionel Richie and Sir Elton John.

Tickets to the second Kylie Minogue Eden Session on July 3 cost £60 plus £5 booking fee and are on sale to members of the Inside Track club from 4pm today.

Tickets then go on general sale at 5pm on Monday, November 26 through www.edensessions.com.
