CONCERNS for the welfare of a woman on a Falmouth pier resulted in police and coastguards rushing to the scene in the early hours of this morning.
Police attended Prince of Wales pier at 3.30am and requested the help of paramedics and coastguards.
The 20 year old was detained under the Mental Health Act after she threatened to harm herself and the coastguards, who had been called just after 4am, left the woman in the care of police officers.
