Aspiring to be the most memorable Santa’s Grotto experience for children and adults alike this December, Trevena Cross is hosting a big charity fundraiser.

Hand built from scratch at the garden centre in Breage near Helston, it opens its doors to a truly magical experience for the first time at 10am on Saturday, December 1, and thereafter will be open 10am-4pm every weekend day leading up to Christmas.

It will also be open during Trevena Cross Late Opening Thursdays from 3pm-8pm on the 6th, 13th and 20th December.

The charitable Grotto (£6 per child), which once again is being supported by The Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard, is this year raising money for Cornwall charities The Invictus Trust and Cornwall Air Ambulance, as well as local community causes in the Parish of Breage, which includes Christmas Lunch sponsorship and providing Christmas hampers for elderly residents in the parish.

The grotto will be joined by a spectacular undercover food and craft Christmas Market during the first three weekends of December, made up of around 60 local traders, which will change on every market day.

With live music, winter wonderland photo opportunities, delicious food inside (in the Garden Kitchen Café) and out, Christmas at Trevena Cross, on the first three weekends of December offers the perfect festive outing for the whole family, with free entry, free car parking (hard standing) and good disabled access.

Plus it offers the ideal opportunity to pick up the all-important Christmas tree too – which includes the popular non-drop, cut Nordmann Fir (up to six feet tall) for only £25 each.
