STORM Diana is rattling across Cornwall this morning, with winds expected to peak at 60mph in the next couple of hours.

Carnon Downs has been partially blocked due to barn roofing being blown into the road near the garden centre.

Traffic is coping well but motorists are urged to approach with care in Quenchwell Road.

There are also reports of slow traffic due to debris on road on A30 Eastbound at A390 (Chiverton Cross Roundabout).

A yellow weather warning for wind is in place until midnight tonight, although it is expected to die down this evening.

However, another band of heavy rain and strong winds will arrive in the early hours of tomorrow, when gusts are again expected to exceed 60mph.

Friday looks like being a dry but breezy day, before yet another Atlantic front makes land in the early hours of Saturday morning.
