A WOMAN failed to give a specimen of breath when suspected of having committed a driving offence, Truro magistrates heard.

Natalie Jessica Grigor, aged 28, of Park En Venton, Germoe, admitted committing the offence in Falmouth on November 10.

She was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £123. She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A WENDRON man who placed an electric fencing wire across a highway has received a heavy fine from Truro magistrates.

Philip Care, aged 60, of Carthew, admitted committing the offence on July 13.

Ryan James Dalley, aged 36, of Little Green Acres, Tolskithy, admitted committing the offence in a Peugeot on November 18 in Monument Way, Redruth.

Truro magistrates disqualified Dalley from driving for 16 months and handed him an eight-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, due to his "deliberate offending".

He was also ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

He had a restraining order imposed for two years, which forbids him from contacting a named woman and also from entering Monument Way in Redruth.

A NEWLYN man has been heavily fined for speeding in a Ford Transit van.

Mark Peter Randall, aged 41, of Treveneth Crescent, Gwavas Estate, committed the offence on June 10 at Plympton, when he exceeded a 60mph limit on the A38.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

STEALING almost £5,000 in cash resulted in a suspended prison sentence for an Illogan man.

David Rose, aged 35, of Church Road, stole the money from a man in Cumbria.

He was also charged with fraud, after agreeing to carry out building works with the intention of making a gain of £2,280 for himself.

The 15-week jail term is suspended for 18 months was handed out by South Cumbria magistrates.

The reason for custody was that it was an "absolute breach of trust to fund a drug habit".

He must also carry out 200 hours of unpaid work and pay back the £4,969 which he had stolen.

A PENRYN man who exceeded a 70mph speed limit has been fined £250.

Lukazs Marcin Zwolennik, aged 33, of Glasney Place, admitted committing the offence on June 4 on the A38 in Plympton.

His licence was endorsed with six points and he was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A TRURO woman exceeded a 60mph limit on the A39 between Carland Cross and Trispen.

Jemma Michelle Bray, aged 39, of Merrifield Close, admitted committing the offence on May 30.

She was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

He had 78mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.
