STAR WARS fanatics who met on a dating website had their own themed wedding in honour of the film franchise.

Chris Polglase and Georgia Albert were married at St John's Hall on May the 4th (be with you - get it?).

At the reception at Pirates' rugby club, they had a Star Wars wedding cake and were joined on the dancefloor by Chewbacca and a stormtrooper.

Georgia moved down to Cornwall from Hertfordshire several years ago and being busy with a full-time job, she found it hard to meet anyone outside of work.

She then tried online dating site Plenty of Fish for a few years.

She got to the stage where she believed life didn’t begin at 40 and started to think she’d have to visit a cat shelter. However, after spotting Chris’ profile, she thought she’d give it a go and messaged him.

Three weeks later and he had not replied, but then out of the blue, he messaged her and there was an instant connection.

They first met a couple of weeks later in November last year and went for a few drinks. She says she fell in love with him that first night.

She said: “He has forever treated me like a princess since that first date and on May 4th I became his forever - after all this time my life is now complete.”

Chris had come out of a nine-year relationship and decided to try online dating as a few of his mates had been doing it and he was working busy working full time, so he set up an account on Plenty of Fish.

Initially he didn’t have much luck and didn’t really believe anything would come of it. He didn’t have any dates before Georgia. Then he received a message from Georgia and as soon as they started chatting they got on straight away and decided to meet up.

They are no longer (Hans) solo.
