New Year celebrations in St Ives will start with a bang as the town gears up for its annual fireworks display.
Many are expected to observe the display, which will be controlled by Bodmin-based Celebration Pyrotechnics and will feature thousands of individual fireworks totalling 125 kilos.
In total, the display will consist 2,300 multi-shot fireworks and 350 large aerial shots.
The show will start at midnight over the St Ives harbour front and has been paid for by St Ives Business Improvement District.
Carl Lamb, St Ives BID Manager said: “New Year’s Eve is a huge draw for locals and visitors every year and we are really looking forward to celebrating with an unforgettable firework display over the harbour.”
