‘Elf and safety are high on the agenda at the Elves’ Factory which will be in full flow for two Santa days at Trebah Garden this month.

On December 15 and 16 Santa is scheduled to drop in on the cheeky elves to make sure that all the present making is on track.

Families can book sessions in the Factory during which children can meet Santa himself, choose their own hand crafted toy and - if the elves are working as hard as they’re supposed to be - see how they make the toys, play musical instruments and have fun while getting their important job done.

To begin the merriment there is a Magical Late Night Opening on Wednesday, December 5 until 8pm.

It’s the chance to enjoy the prettily decorated visitor centre while browsing the shops, feasting on warming mulled wine and mince pies. More than a thousand lights will be twinkling after dark.

If daytime is more practical for a visit, the Trebah Choo Choo Train Trail is great fun.

It’s a suitably festive way to enjoy the beautiful garden and it’s available every day throughout the month.

As it’s the busiest time of the year for Santa and the elves, timed slots have been introduced this year to make sure that the Santa Days are not over subscribed.

Booking is essential. Tickets include garden entry and cost £7.50 for children and £5 for adults, while member adults are free.

They can be booked online at the Hall for Cornwall website: trebah-garden.co.uk/santa or by calling 01872 262466.
