The driver involved in two collisions into parked vehicles in Penzance has died, police have confirmed.

Police were called to Heamoor Road on Friday, at around 5.10pm, after a silver Toyota Aygo crashed into a parked black panel van. Not long afterwards the same Toyota collided with two parked cars in Reens Crescent.

The driver of the Toyota, aged 89, was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, but later died on Saturday, whilst still in hospital.

He was William ‘Grevis’ Williams, from Newlyn. He passed away in hospital as a result of natural causes, not as a result of the road traffic collision.

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the collision or saw a Silver Toyota Aygo in the area at the time of the collision to contact the police on 101 quoting incident log number 672, of Friday, December 7.
