A man has been arrested and a second man taken to hospital following an incident in Penzance this morning.
Armed police were seen in St Clare Street at 6.30am following allegations of a man with a knife in a property.
A police spokesperson said a second man in his 30s, in the same property, was reported to have sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital.
The spokesperson said: "Police have been searching various locations in Penzance for the man who may have been in possession of a knife."
They added that a 48-year-old man was arrested at 10.30am today and is now in custody. Police investigations are ongoing.
