A heavy police presence in Helston earlier this week has now been explained by officers.
The increase in police was due to concerns for a woman.
A number of police cars and a police van were seen in Coinagehall Street, with activity also taking place around Coinage Ope.
A police spokesperson said officers were called by a member of the public over the welfare of a woman at an address in Coinagehall Street, at around 1.50pm on Monday.
The woman, in her 20s, was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital to be checked over.
