Coverack's 50th Christmas Day Swim was undertaken by 220 swimmers on Tuesday.
Hardy souls bedecked in some stunning fancy dress costumes, led by Dave Philpott and Carol Lawrence, braved the water at 12.30pm to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
After recent strong winds the weather was kind, although swimmers had to negotiate a pebbly beach as it was low tide.
Some magnificent outfits were worn, with everything from a man with a turkey on his head to characters from Mary Poppins.
The amount raised has not yet been finalised.
