The cold weather is forcing a Cornish secondary school to close its doors to pupils on Monday.
Nine Maidens Alternative Provision Academy, at Four Lanes, will not be open to secondary age students between years seven and 11, due to heating failure.

Cornwall Council has confirmed the closure on its website.
It is currently only listed to be closed on Monday, January 7.
The council stresses that the closure applies to years seven to 11 students only, with the primary department remaining open as usual.
