DRUNK and disorderly behaviour has resulted in a big fine for a Truro man.

Gary Lee Cooper, aged 30, of Trelander North, admitted committing the offence in Burger King, on Kenwyn Street, on December 12.

He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order made by Truro Crown Court on June 9 after he made threats to kill, criminal damage, ABH and affray.

He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

A CAMBORNE man has been fined £283 after admitting using threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Perranporth.

Trystan Sam Wayne, aged 38, of Dolcoath Avenue, was also ordered to pay £135 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A MAN who faces a charge of grevious bodily harm will have his case heard at Truro Crown Court.

David Ronald Thomas, aged 53, of Passmore Road, Helston, is alleged to have committed the offence on April 8 in Helston.

Thomas will appear in crown court on February 7.

DRINK-driving in Falmouth has resulted in a 20 year-old man being banned from the roads.

Sebastian James Firth, of Kelliwith, Truro, admitted driving at Ford Fiesta at Grove Place on December 14 when he had 52mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Firth was disqualified for 12 months and fined £120. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

DAMAGING a window to the value of £240 has resulted in a court appearance for a 21 year old man.

George Anthony Bowden, aged 21, of Saracen Way, Penryn, admitted committing the offence on May 20 in Penryn last year.

He also admitted breaching a conditional discharged which had been imposed for two years on December 12, 2017.

Bowden was fined £40 and ordered to pay £240 compensation, £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A HAYLE man who drove without due care and attention has been fined by Truro magistrates.

Martyn Ian Freegard, aged 59, of The Pathway Fields, admitted committing the offence in a blue Vauxhall Astra on June 13 in Penpol Terrace.

DESTROYING a small window pane led to a Camborne man being conditionally discharged for 12 months.

Nathan Mankee, aged 27, of Morrab Road, admitted committing the offence in Camborne on December 15.

COCAINE was present in the blood sample of a 21 year-old driver from Truro.

Illya Waynivitch Robert Askey, of Kel Avon Close, admitted committing the offence in a VW Golf on Tresawls Road in the city on August 18.

He had 78mcgs per litre of blood, which exceeded the specified limit.

He also admitted two further charges of having controlled drugs in his system - one for THC and one for Benzoylecgonine.

Amber Christie Thomas, aged 27, of Blights Row, admitted committing the offence in a BMW 118 in Nettells Hill, Redruth.

He was fined £616 and banned from driving for two years. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £61 victim surcharge.

A 21 year-old man has been disqualified from driving for 18 months.

Timothy Tatenda Mawonera, of Newham Road, Truro, admitted drink driving on December 22 in the city's Fairmantle Street.

He had 67mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

A MAN has admitted the unusual charge of purporting to need medical treatment and claim he was stranded from home, with the intent of making a financial gain.

James Stephens, aged 28, of St Petry, Goldsithney, near Penzance, admitted committing the offence between February 12 and May 22 last year.

He was charged with fraud, having dishonestly made a false representation with a view to gaining £7,760.

Magistrates made him the subject of a community order, in which he will have to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months. They also imposed a restraining order on him.

He was ordered to pay £7,760 compensation, £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.

A CAMBORNE man has been banned from driving for two years after exceeding the alcohol limit.

David Paul Whitcombe, aged 54, admitted committing the offence in the town on December 16 in a Mercedes Sprinter.

A TEENAGER pleaded guilty to driving whilst unfit through drugs.

Gabriel Jesse Yates-Luckwell, aged 18, of Sea Lane, Copperhouse, Hayle, committed the offence on July 25 in a Fiat Punto on the A30.

A 22 year-old man has admitted speeding three times on the same stretch of road.

Robert Lawrence Clarke, of Rame Croft, Rame Cross, exceeded the 30mph limit on the A394 at Trewennack, near Helston, on May 22, June 4 and June 5.

Clarke, who has been banned from driving for six months, was driving a BMW 323i on each occasion.

He received a £40 fine for the first two offences and £120 on the third occasion. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
