A man in his thirties was talked down from a cliff by emergency services today.
Police were alerted at 2.05pm to the incident near Mullion Cove where the man was threatening to harm himself.
Coastguard, a lifeboat, paramedics and a search and rescue helicopter were all called to assist police.
At around 4pm, the man was taken into a lifeboat and brought to Mullion where he was transferred to hospital by helicopter.
According to a police spokesperson, the man walked roughly 300 yards round the cliff from Mullion Cove while the incident was ongoing.
