Volunteers are welcome to join Cornwall Urban Buzz to sow wildflower meadows at two town sites this Thursday.
Run by the charity Buglife, the wildflower hotspots will create homes for pollinating insects such butterflies, beetles and bees.
A morning hou-long seed scattering and planting of plug plants starts at 10.30am, meeting by the tennis courts on Boscawen Road TR11 4EL.
The all afternoon event to sow several meadows in the Gyllyng Street area begins at 1pm, meeting by the steps in Well Lane car park at New Street, TR11 3EG.
Volunteers can drop in and give a hand for as long as they wish.
