A 51-YEAR-OLD man who recorded another person doing a private act with the intention of gaining sexual gratification for it has appeared before Truro magistrates.

Simon Ramsden, of Old Portreath Road, Redruth, admitted committing the offence on November 4 in Redruth.

A community order was imposed on Ramsden requiring him to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.

He was placed on the Sexual Offences register for five years and was also ordered to pay £85 costs.

A WOMAN who admitted assault has been given a community order.

Stacey Suzanne Wills, 35, of Trelander Barton, Truro, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place in Redruth on November 7. She was given a restraining order not to attend the Red Lion pub, fined £40, must pay £100 compensation and £85 victim surcharge.

A TEENAGER who drove while unfit through drugs has been banned from the roads for 12 months.

Torin Kwame Baah Williams, aged 18, of Godolphin Road, Helston, admitted committing the offence on July 21.

It took place in Porthleven in a black Kia Picanto, when he drove through Commercial Road.

Besides the ban, he was fined £230 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver from Camborne has been disqualified for more than three years.

Daniel Blackham, aged 32, of Wheal Gerry, admitted committing the offence in Wilson Way, Redruth, on December 27.

He had 88mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath while driving a grey Vauxhall Astra. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

Blackham was banned for 40 months and fined £120. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver was found in possession of cannabis, a court heard.

Steven Paul Gibbs, aged 58, of Trelawney Estate, Frogpool, drove a Renault Clio in the Pirate Inn car park in Alverton Penzance, when he had 75mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs.

He was found in possession of five grams of cannabis resin. He pleaded guilty to both offences, which took place on December 21.

He also admitted failing to surrender to Cornwall Magistrates' Court on January 7 and driving otherwise in accordance with a licence.

Gibbs was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £120. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

A REDRUTH man who harassed a woman has had a restraining order imposed by magistrates.

Christopher Albert Flower, aged 61, of Treruffe Hill, admitted committing the offence between September 15 and December 30.

He sent the victim unwanted text messages, left numerous voicemails, posted a note through her door and entered her property without permission.

The restraining order prohibits Flower from direct or indirect contact with the woman. He was fined £420 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £42 victim surcharge.

ASSAULTING a woman has resulted in a restraining order being imposed on a Camborne man.

Samuel Lucas Mitchell, aged 27, of St Martins Crescent, admitted committing the offence between December 30 and January 2 in Camborne.

He is prohibited from making direct or indirect contact with the victim and was given a 12-month conditional discharge.

Mitchell was also fined £100 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

DESTROYING a glass sliding door of a supermarket has left a Penzance man with a hefty bill.

Steven David Blowey, aged 27, of Mount Pleasant, destroyed the door valued at £2,000 in the town's Tesco store.

He has been ordered to pay £1,500 compensation and received a two-year conditional discharge.

Raul Leonid Codreanu, aged 27, of Gwinear Road, Connor Downs, admitted committing the offence in Redruth on December 24, in a Renault Megane.

Magistrates issued a six-week prison term suspended for 12 months because of his "blatant disregard of a court order not to drive when in drink for a second conviction".

A COUPLE from Four Lanes have appeared before Truro magistrates after failing to ensure that their children attended primary school regularly.

Jamie and Kathleen Isaacs, of Kemp Close, both pleaded guilty to two charges relating to their son and daughter's attendance at Trewirgie School, Redruth between October 30, 2017 and July 17, 2018.

They each received a 12-month conditional discharge and were ordered to pay £250 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

Marcus Selby Roberts, aged 42, of Beacon Road, committed the offence in Calenick Street, Truro, on on September 5.

Robert Thompson, aged 46, of St Uny Crescent, admitted committing the offence on the A3047 at Scorrier on September 5.
