A REDRUTH man has been jailed after breaching a restraining order on three separate occasions, a court heard.
Keith James Matthews, aged 43, of Edmund Road, contacted a woman on November 1, November 14 and between January 21 and 24, despite being prohibited by an order which was imposed on January 22 last year.
On the first two occasions he approached her face to face in Truro, whilst on the most recent occasion he made attempts to contact her and left voicemails.
Matthews admitted all three offences and was sent to prison by Bodmin magistrates on Friday for a total of 24 weeks, receiving eight weeks for each offence.
Magistrates said the offence was so serious because of its nature and the defendant's previous convictions for breaches of court order.
He was also ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
