DRIVING conditions are atrocious across the county this afternoon but for the most part, the snow is being confined to higher ground and further afield in Devon.
However, this picture from west of Cornwall, in Nancledra, near Penzance, was taken just an hour ago.
There are also reports of snow in the Redruth area.
One resident of Four Lanes said that snow was falling heavily in the village.
An amber weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for Devon and Dorset between 2pm and 9pm.
An amber warning states: "Travel delays on roads are likely, stranding some vehicles and passengers. Some delays and cancellations to rail travel are likely.
"There is a good chance that some rural communities could become cut off
Power cuts are likely and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected.
