National Rail hopes to restore normal services between Truro and Falmouth by tomorrow morning (Tuesday February 5).
The Maritime Line has been experiencing difficulties since a train derailed in Penryn last Monday (January 28).
Disruption to the service has been sporadic over the last week, and passengers have had to use replacement buses and taxis in the meantime.
A team of engineers will visit Penryn station tonight to replace a points machine and some cabling.
A spokesperson from National Rail said: "It is anticipated that normal services will resume tomorrow morning."
