Thanks to the Rotary Club of Mount’s Bay, St Pirans Hall Goldsithney, the village hall for Perranuthnoe, is celebrating getting closer to installing its own defibrillator.

St Pirans Hall is home to many community activities, from Mothers and Toddlers to a Golden Age groups, with a number of different fitness classes for all ages and interests. It is next door to the parish play area.

Andy Moore, chairman of St Pirans Hall, said: "We are really grateful to Rotary for their generous donation.

"The hall has already raised around £500 sponsorship towards the defibrillator and the £250 grant from the Rotary means it is well on the way to getting this lifesaving installation.

Jim Blain from Mount’s Bay Rotary said: "We are really pleased to be able to make this donation which offers the opportunity to save lives. The Rotary club raises its funds through the efforts of volunteers and the profits from our shop in Penzance.

"It is very satisfying to see the proceeds making a real difference in the community."
