Four fire crews were called
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a large gorse blaze on Thursday afternoon.
A spokesman for Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said that crews were called at around 4.20pm to Goonhilly Downs.
Four appliances, from Mullion, St Keverne and Helston, were sent to the scene.
The crews found an area alight that had several 'seats' of fire along a 50-metre front.
They managed the flames and supervised its burning to natural breaks in the vegetation.
