A second large blaze in as many days saw 20 firefighters called out on the Lizard Peninsula last night.
Crews from Mullion, St Keverne and Falmouth were all scrambled at 5pm yesterday to an area of downs behind Mullion Holiday Park.
Around 130 hectares of the heathland was on fire, in three separate areas.
Firefighters tackled the flames with beaters and hose reels.
It was the second such incident in a many days.
On Thursday crews from Mullion, St Keverne and Helston had their Valentine's Day interrupted when they were called to the same area of Goonhilly Downs, this time just before 4.30pm.
This time there were two sections of fire, along a 150 metre to 200 metre wide stretch.
Firefighters managed the fire and supervised its burning to natural breaks in the vegetation, returning to their stations at around 7pm.
