A DUO from London will return to where they were once students to perform a gig in Falmouth on Saturday.

IDER recently released their new single Mirror off the back of summer release You’ve Got Your Whole Life Ahead Of You Baby - which has already eclipsed 3,000,000 streams on Spotify alone since its release in late July.

They will play live at AMATA, Falmouth University on Saturday, with support from Grand PAX and Mia Tuesday.

Mirror is IDER’s breakup anthem, a journey which begins in the loss of self-identity felt after splitting with a partner, but ends in a triumphant celebration of your own personal strength; all tied together by the quintessential IDER signatures - heavenly laced-together harmonies, pulsating beats and dreamy delicate guitar riffs.

Band members Lily Somerville and Megan Markwick - formerly known as Lily and Megan - said: “The idea for Mirror started with that moment when you get up in the middle of the night to have a wee and you catch yourself in the mirror and for a second, you don’t recognise yourself.

“We feel like everyone's done that - when you pull weird faces at yourself in the night time light to try and freak yourself out. The song is predominantly about going through a break up and realising that you have attached so much of your identity to that other person that you’re not sure who you are without them.”

IDER laid down a marker in 2017 with soaring singles Body Love and Learn To Let Go - their first releases on Glassnote - and with Mirror and ‘You’ve Got Your Whole Life Ahead Of You Baby’, they take another giant leap towards fulfilling the potential that’s seen them tipped for greatness.

Continuing a run of sold-out London live shows in the past 12 months, IDER headlined a packed Village Underground - a venue that has proven a rite of passage for emerging artists on their way to the top - on October 2.

Support in Falmouth comes from Grand PAX and AMATA’s very own Mia Tuesday.

The Bristol-born twin sister duo bring dreamy duo-pop love songs, that make you cry for your mother and a box of chicken nuggets, with nostalgic harmonies that ascend your body into the clouds.
