A CRASH involving a car and two pedestrians caused traffic chaos in the centre of Truro this lunchtime.
The incident took place around midday in High Cross, outside Truro Cathedral in the heart of the city.
An elderley driver was taken ill at the wheel and one of the pedestrians was taken to hospital.
A large celtic cross was also damaged in the collision.
The road has now been re-opened and traffic returned to normal.
Police and paramedics attended the incident.
