COMMUTERS in Truro left work to the sound of sirens yesterday evening.
Firefighters from three stations were called to a fire in Strangways Terrace, off the top of Lemon Street, just after 5pm.
Crews from Truro, Tolvaddon and Falmouth stations and an officer attended a call to a property fire.
On arrival crews entered the property wearing breathing apparatus and confirmed that the fire was already out.
The property was ventilated by the crews and the property was made safe.
