FIREFIGHTERS from three stations tackled a blaze on the Lizard Peninsula on Sunday afternoon.
At first there were fears that someone could be inside the storage building, but that proved not to be the case.
The building, which contained gas cylinders, measured approximately 25 by 15 metres.
Appliances from Mullion, Helston and Falmouth dealt with the fire near Ruan Minor for several hours into the evening.
Crews also had to enlist the help of a water carrier from Wadebridge, as they had to use a huge amount of hose to reach the fire.
They used breathing apparatus, hose reels, a thermal imaging camera and a ground monitor to fight the blaze.
