Firefighters were called to a blaze in west Cornwall in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Two appliances from St Ives attended the fire at an outbuilding in Trerice Place in St Ives at around 4.10am, before extinguishing it using four breathing apparatus, two hosereels and two main jets.
A man was taken to hospital with chest pains.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
