FALMOUTH: Permission has been granted to change the plans for a 190-bed student block.

Empirc Student Properties have been given permission to build a plant room area, housing the equipment needed to service the development in the place where a cycle shelter was originally meant to go.

They have also been given permission to install photovoltaics to four of the roofs to provide renewable energy to the development.

Cornwall Council approved their application on Monday (March 18), saying: "This application for non-material amendments does not raise additional issues of any significance over those considered under the original application."
