STARBUCKS in Victoria Square has reopened today following a full refurbishment.

The new-look store is complete with comfortable seating and additional plug sockets for customers who want to work in store whilst enjoying their favourite coffee.

The store has been designed with warm timber cladding, wood floors and botanical wall paper, the design concept celebrates Costa Rica, one of Starbucks coffee growing regions.

The store team will be hosting a grand reopening ceremony on Saturday, with deputy mayor Bob Smith cutting the ribbon at 11am.

Coffee tastings will be held throughout the day, when customers can learn all about the brand-new Starbucks Blonde Espresso Roast.

The team will also be welcoming its local charity partner, the British Heart Foundation, and holding a charity raffle to raise money for them.

There will be lots of great prizes available including Easter eggs, gym memberships and a hamper of Starbucks goodies.

The British Heart Foundation funds over £100 million of research each year into all heart and circulatory diseases, including strokes, vascular dementia and diabetes.

Through donations, they are equipped with the research and machinery needed to help support those suffering heart related diseases and help their affected family members.

Claire Cambridge, district manager at Starbucks franchisee Amsric, said: “The store team and I are so excited to have our doors open again.

"With our Deputy Mayor cutting the ribbon along with our charity partner, the British Heart Foundation it’s going to be a fantastic day and we hope to raise lots of money for our charity partner. We look forward to meeting new customers and welcoming in familiar faces to our beautiful new store.”

The Starbucks store is open Monday to Saturday 7am-7pm and from 8am-5pm on Sunday.
