A potential redevelopment or refurbishment property on the Lizard peninsula has fetched £212,000 at auction.

Bosula, at Carne, Manaccan, sparked serious bidding across the sales floor before eventually selling well above its freehold guide price.

It was among the lots in the second sale of 2019 by the regional land and property auctioneers Clive Emson yesterday.

Auctioneer Graham Barton said: “Many keen bidders recognised this property’s stunning potential.

“The new owner now has a fantastic opportunity to maximise its glorious location and proximity to nearby woodland and waterside walks, as well as the South West Coast Path.”

A detached timber bungalow with two/three bedrooms, Bosula sits in a secluded location extending almost half an acre of wooded gardens and grounds, with a glorious outlook to Gillan Creek.

It was auctioned jointly with Oliver’s Estate Agents of Helston.

Britain's largest independent regional land and property auctioneer, Clive Emson Auctioneers holds eight rounds of auctions at five locations from Essex to Cornwall on consecutive days every six weeks, this time with a total of 134 lots.

Starting at 11am, the third of Clive Emson Auctioneers' regional West Country auctions in 2019 – the first two having a combined sale rate of over 90 per cent – takes place at the St Mellion International Resort, on Thursday May 2. Entries close on Monday, April 1.

Clive Emson Auctioneers is celebrating its 30th anniversary by launching a new series of fixed date online auctions.

The first one is on Thursday, March 28, and will be complementary to the traditional ballroom auction held the week before, which remains unchanged.

The streamlined fixed date online auction will run in real time on the Clive Emson website and adds another aspect to the already popular online auction service provided.
