PERRANPORTH won 2-0 at home to Helston Athletic to return to the top of the Combination League table.

The defending champions required a last-minute winner when the teams met at Kellaway Park recently, but had no such troubles at their Ponsmere Valley home, with Terry Campbell and Matt Roberts scoring the goals before half-time.

St Day kept themselves in title contention with a 3-1 win at a Falmouth Town side who are now well and truly out of consideration this season.

Kyle Cooke had given Town the lead but Matt Witts levelled before half-time, with Jacob Cleverly and Luke Hart netting for the Saints in the second half.

Josh Magin scored a hat-trick as St Ives Town leapfrogged Falmouth and Helston to go up to fourth after a 3-0 win at home to Redruth United.

Magin opened the scoring midway through the first half before netting another two in the last seven minutes to complete his treble.

Perranwell missed the chance to close the gap on the top six after losing 4-1 at home to Wendron United.

Sam Fuller put the 'Dron in front before Lachlan Brace levelled from the spot after Ian Bromwell was brought down in the box.

But Wendron restored their lead immediately from the kick-off with Jack Noy set up Fuller to score his second. Roles were then reversed as Fuller teed up Noy to score, with the same combination resulting in Noy scoring goal number four.

St Just hit RNAS Culdrose for six to move above their opponents into 14th spot by virtue of goals scored.

Prolific striker Jack Willis scored two but was upstaged by strike partner Ashley Ellis who bagged a hat-trick.

Neil Curnow completed the visitors' scoring with his 200th Combination League and cup goal, while an own goal provided the Airmen with their consolation.

It was honours even at Enys Parc between St Agnes and Lizard Argyle. Ben Casley put Argyle in front from the spot in the first half before Milo Seminen rescued a point for the hosts after the break.

The match between the bottom two teams saw ten goals in all, with Matt Dawson (2) and Marcus Smith also netting for the Fishermen, while Jake Gregory (2) and Will Symons scored for Carharrack.

Hayle and Illogan RBL remain seventh and eighth respectively after the sides drew 0-0 at Trevassack Park.

Mullion and Pendeen Rovers' match was abandoned in the first minute after Pendeen's Jack Ralph suffered a serious leg injury.
