Fal River Cornwall has announced its 2019 summer cruise program.

The summer evening cruises run for around two hours, and take place on board Moyana, the company’s charter boat with bar, open deck and indoor lounge.

Kicking off the season will be the gypsy jazz cruise on Wednesday June 26 featuring local band, Swingology.

The lively trio will have guests bopping in the aisles, with a toe tapping mix of cool swing and gypsy jazz.

The programme will see the return of the popular past events, including Cornwall gin cruise on Saturday July 20 in collaboration with The Juniper Club.

The fizz and chips cruise is back on Bank Holiday Monday August 26 with dinner being served to passengers on deck fresh from Rick Stein’s.

This year also sees a new collaboration between the ferry company and The Greenbank Hotel.

The luxury hotel's cocktail bar will take to the seas for the evening on the sundowners cruise leaving from The Greenbank Pontoon on Sunday August 4.

The programme also features an evening dedicated to cider, with two highly trained cider masters on board from The Stable, Falmouth.

The cider tasting cruise takes place on Friday August 23. Passengers will taste a wide selection of ciders whilst learning all about the cider-making process and different cider-making regions.

Nature lovers and history buffs will also have the chance to explore the Fal with local experts, bringing the river's fascinating past to life whilst on the lookout for marine wildlife, on land and sea. Date TBC.

Amy Brocklehurst, of Fal River, said: "This year will be our most ambitious programme of cruises and events. We wanted to come up with a line-up that really has something for everyone.

“The summer evening cruise programme allows us to collaborate and showcase great local businesses and offer something completely unique.

“What better way to celebrate the area than to experience the spectacular views on the water whilst enjoying a themed cruise"

Tickets are expected to sell out fast for many of the events in the summer evening cruises programme this year, so for more information or to book places visit www.falriver.co.uk/summer-cruises and follow Fal River on Facebook and Twitter for announcements.
