Businesses and other organisations are pulling together for a children's fun day in Truro.

They will be offering free activities, have-a-go sessions and other offers on Saturday April 13.

For the third year running the Truro Business Improvement District (BID) has gathered more than 30 city centre businesses to organise special activities on the second Saturday in the school Easter holidays.

Lemon Quay will be a hive of activity with children's rides, street performers, have-a-go sessions in dance and yoga, stalls and other entertainment.

Mountain bike athlete Andrei Burton will even be there on the day along with other street performers popping up throughout the city.

There will be activities to keep the little ones entertained all day including free craft corners, Easter egg hunts, face painters and giveaways.

There will also be meal deals available for the kids.

The Royal Cornwall Museum is offering free family entry for the day with lots of free activities in the museum, along with face painting and balloon modelling.

Alun Jones, BID Manager said, “We’re delighted to be hosting children’s day again as in the last two years the event has proved to be a lovely local celebration.

"It’s an enjoyable time for families of all ages which also helps to attract both locals and visitors to stay longer in our great little city on the day.”

Children’s day will have activities for all ages. Many activities are free although there will be a cost for others such as the rides.

The fun runs from 10am – 4.30pm on Saturday April 13 across Truro city centre. There will be a children's disco from 5pm – 7.30pm at Karen’s Café on The Leats.
