The hunt is on to catch the arsonists responsible for a spate of fires in Redruth over the last week.
The town’s library appears to be particularly being targeted, with three attacks on that area.
Between 1pm last Saturday, March 30 and 8am on Monday, April 1 there were two attempts to set fire to the library on Clinton Road.
These took place at two different locations at the back of the library and police believe that fires were started but put out shortly afterwards.

Then, on Thursday, an attempt was made to set fire to a disused garage on Sunnyside, shortly after 9pm. It was only the quick actions of a neighbouring resident, who noticed the fire and put it straight out, which prevented the flames from spreading further and causing more damage.
The most recent arson attack was last night, between 11pm and 11.30pm, when a van parked in the rear car park of the library again, near Treruffe Hill, was set on fire and totally destroyed.
Firefighters from Tolvaddon put out the flames with two hosereels.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to any of the fires, or to anyone with any information about how they started, to call 101 and quote CR/030230/19.
