POLICE are appealing for witnesses after one man was left seriously injured following a crash in west Cornwall yesterday morning.
At approximately 6.45am on Tuesday, police were informed of a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A3071 outside of Newbridge.
The collision involved a black Seat and a red Ford. On arrival both drivers were reported to be trapped in their vehicles.
One man, in his 40s, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Treliske hospital by land ambulance.
The second driver, a man in his 30s, was flown to Derriford by Air Ambulance for treatment for injuries now described as serious not but life threatening.
Specialist officers from the Devon and Cornwall’s Alliance Roads Policing Team attended, along with a Forensic Collision Investigator and Scenes of Crime Officer.
A full investigation of the scene took place and officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.
