FIREFIGHTERS have been battling a blaze at a cottage in Porthcurno this afternoon.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at around 3.45pm.
Two fire appliances from St Just and one from Penzance have been on the scene.
A spokesman for the service said at 5pm: "The fire is on the second floor of a two-storey cottage, measuring 16 metres by eight metres.
"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are making good progress using two hosereels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire."
