FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze in a west Cornwall cottage yesterday afternoon.
Two fire appliances from St Just and one fire appliance from Penzance went to the property in Porthcurno, near Land's End, at around 3pm.
The fire was on the second floor of a two-storey cottage, measuring 16 metres by 8 metres.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are making good progress using two hosereels and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
By 5pm the fire has been extinguished and firefighters monitored hotspots before leaving the scene.
