A man from Falmouth has received a hefty fine and three points on his driving license for speeding.

Erin Dale Wainwright, aged 24, of Gyllng Street, admitted exceeding the 60 miles per hour speed limit on the A30 in Camborne last September.

Mr Wainwright will have to pay £74 in fines £85 in court costs and a further £30 as a victim surcharge.

Two parents from Falmouth have been fined for failing to send their child to school for a week last October.

Curt Caban and Leigh Chapman, of Tregenver Road, have been fined £220 each as well as having to pay costs of £360 and a victim surcharge of £30.

Another parent from St Ives has also been fined for truancy.

Candice Cole, from Nanjivey Place, failed to send her child to school for two weeks last October.

She has been fined £440 and will have to pay additional costs of £662 and a surcharge of £30.

A mother from Truro has failed to ensure her child regularly attended school between September and December of last year.

Suzanne Harrington, aged 45, from Polisken Way, pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay costs of £340.

Driving with defective tyres has landed a Flushing man with a fine this week.

Ethan Mitchell Fearn, from Vinefield Court, road drove his vehicle on the A390 in Truro with a faulty front tyre last November.

The driver has been given a fine of £166 as well as being ordered to pay a £85 in costs and a victims’ surcharge of £30.

Mr Fearn’s license has also been endorsed with three points.

A man from Redruth has received a 12-month conditional discharge for using a television without a licence.

Johnathan Luke Sprake, 21, from Chywoon Gardens, was ordered to pay a surcharge of £30 for admitting to being without a television licence needed for a television at the property.

Two dog owners from Penzance will have their dogs put down under the Dangerous Dogs Act.

The dogs are both Pitbulls owned by Garry Bickmore, 61, of Chyandour Coombe and Joshua Roberts, 25, of Polmeere Road.

Unless an exemption is made the two dogs, Nam and Snoop will be destroyed in two months’ time.

James Jeremy Maddern, aged 26, of Trekye Close, Four Lanes,  committed the offence in Newquay on October 14.

Herkus Mockevicius, of Heabrook Parc, Penzance, committed the offences in an Audi at Leedstown on November 30.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with eight points.

A REDRUTH man exceeded a 30mph speed limit in a Jaguar S type.

Gerald Richard Parker, aged 45, of Montague Avenue, committed the offence in Plymouth on OCtober 15.

He was fined £440 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £44 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with four points.

A PENRYN man failed to give information leading to the identification of a driver alleged to have committed an offence.

Khyam Bronze Podgoretsky, aged 42, of Jobs Water, committed the offence on November 16.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

SPEEDING in a van has resulted in a fine for a Hayle man.

Harry John Savage, aged 35, of Trevassack Manor Park, admitted committing the offence in a Peugeot Partner on the A30 at Fraddon on October 11.

He was fined £280 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five points.

A HELSTON woman drove a Mini without insurance.

Catherine Marie Shaw, aged 40, of Hawkins Way, admitted committing the offence on Falmouth Road in Truro on October 11.

She was fined £184 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

EXCEEDING a 70mph speed limit has resulted in a fine for a 51 year-old woman.

Elaine Turner of Lower Town Farm, Rose, committed the offence on the A30 at Lanivet in a Range Rover on October 13.

She was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

A 26 year old man drove without insurance.

Thomas Soulsby, of Trevoarn Foundry Square, Hayle, committed the offence in Penzance on November 24.

He was fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with seven points.

A MAN who drove a van over a 50mph speed limit has been fined £660.

Cian Paul Spowart, aged 39, of Ventonleague Row, admitted committing te offence on October 14 at Roseworthy on the A30.

He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Sean Wilton, of Rosemullion Gardens, Camborne, committed the offences in a Fiat on Wesley Road, on November 1.

Wilton, who admitted driving without insurance, was fined £250 and ordered to pay £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge. His licence as endorsed with seven points.
