The man was charged with beating a young girl
A Falmouth man has appeared in court charged with assaulting a young child by beating her.
The man in his thirties (who cannot be identified to protect the alleged victim) denies the offence and will stand trial in June.
He has been granted unconditional bail in the meantime.
