A former cafe in Falmouth is to be turned into a new business.
Mr A Friedberg has been given planning permission by Cornwall Council to turn Cafe Strand in Market Strand into Bru Box.
This is listed on Companies House under “licensed restaurants” and “take-away food shops”.
Bru Box will open in Market Strand
The council has approved plans to alter the shopfront and make internal alterations, repainting it white instead of blue and leaving some of the traditional design features exposed. Inside the seating area will be rearranged and the bar area brought forward.
Approving the plans under delegated powers, planning officer Samuel Fuller wrote: "The development is viewed as being an attempt to increase custom and as such shall bring associated benefits to the local and wider economy as well as social benefits which shall result from this.
"The design of the proposal shall also contribute to the appearance of the conservation area and listed building, with the fascia being more traditional."
