It will come as no surprise that an Easter bank holiday weekend combined with warm sunshine is making Cornwall’s roads exceptionally busy this lunchtime.

Traffic is queuing at a number of points on the A30, including at Carland Cross, which is slow moving in both directions between the A39 Carland Cross roundabout and the A390 Three Burrows junction.

It is the same story at Crowlas, from the B3309 Crowlas junction to the A394 Longrock junction in west Cornwall, as well as on the A30 westbound from the A3047 Camborne West junction to the B3301 at Carwin Rise.

It is currently taking vehicles nine minutes to travel the Hayle Bypass heading towards Penzance, between the Loggans Moor Roundabout and the St Erth Roundabout.

In Truro there is heavy traffic on Tregolls Road between the Trafalgar Roundabout and the Tregurra Park and Ride.

Similar problems can be found on the A38, including at Doublebois, where there is slow traffic westbound from the B3360 at Doublebois to the A30 Fletchersbridge junction.

UPDATE: All traffic in these areas has returned to normal.
